DIANE H. ESSER graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and received her J.D. from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a founding partner of the law firm of Esser, Singer, Eisenberg and Wainstein (later Esser and Wainstein) and is now a partner at Esser and Kingston. Her practice is devoted to domestic relations and estate planning. Attorney Esser's professional associations and activities include: member and former president of the Franklin County Bar Association; member and former Delegate and Executive Committee member for the Massachusetts Bar Association; past Trustee and Treasurer of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation; former member of the Western Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Committee; member of the Chief Justice's Commission on the Future of the Courts; co-chair of the Franklin County Reinventing Justice Futures Lab Task Force; and a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education panelist.

OONA KINGSTON graduated, cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley and received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford, Connecticut. She was as associate attorney with the law firm of Esser and Wainstein and is now a founding partner at Esser and Kingston. Her practice is devoted to domestic relations and family law, with a particular interest in areas of concern to non-traditional families including second-parent adoptions and cohabitation agreements. Attorney Kingston's professional associations include: member of the Franklin and Hampshire County Bar Associations, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Women's Bar Association; present member of the Franklin County Lawyer for a Day Steering Committee; and present member of the Board of Directors for Western Massachusetts Legal Services.
